Net Market Share - Windows 7 Breaks 1% Share
Operating System Usage Market Share for August 2009
With Windows 7 due to go on sale October 22, 2009, NetMarketShare.com is tracking its usage market share at 1.18% with the release candidate made available by Microsoft. Trending indicates that share seems to be coming directly from Windows XP users who have skipped upgrading to Windows Vista, but are now upgrading to Windows 7. And, many analysts have predicted that exact pattern. Overall, Windows had a slight gain of 0.02% for the month, Mac OS gained 0.01%, Linux had a slight drop, and iPhone showed a gain of 0.03% to 0.33% of all internet browsing.
